About Diksha Manjari
Diksha Manjari is a pioneering initiative by renowned Odissi dancer Dona Ganguly. A classical dance school that has more than two decades of a rich teaching tradition, to maintain the high standards of performance and professionalism. The institution works to propagate all forms of Indian Classical dance in its true beauty among the next generations making them aware of the rich cultural dance heritage of our country.The school seeks to spread the glory of the different forms of performing art both within and beyond the borders of the country. The school also emphasizes on Swimming, Yoga and karate. Currently there are more than 2000 students in Diksha Manjari. Dona Ganguly, trained under legendary Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra, is a prolific Guru herself and carries forward his legacy with grace and dedication. Diksha Manjari has been inaugurated by Smt Lata Mangeshkar and its Crystal celebration was in the presence of Mr. Amitabh Bachchan at Victoria Memorial Hall Kolkata.
